While the state’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is claiming the repeat of his government based on development, Rajasthan Roadways is showing signs of crumbling. CM Gehlot may make grand claims about development, but the ground reality tells a different story.
Mobile phones are being distributed as a gift to women before the upcoming state elections, but Rajasthan Roadways’ deteriorating condition is becoming a source of inconvenience for travellers.
To provide some context, on Thursday at 2:00 PM, a bus departed, but midway through the journey, there was heavy rainfall. Due to the intense downpour, most of the bus windows shattered, causing rainwater to enter inside. When asked about the eroding condition of the bus, the bus driver Arjun Singh revealed that they had informed the Roadways depot management several times about the issues. However, no attention has been paid to date. Passengers complained that they were paying the full fare but not receiving proper facilities on Rajasthan Roadways buses. Even a slight rain causes water to enter the bus due to the lack of proper windowpanes. While the Gehlot government boasts about development, the claims seem empty as the ground situation deteriorates.
