Rajasthan Roadways celebrated its 60th foundation day on Sunday. During this event, the entire headquarters was decorated, however, just outside the same headquarters, employees were protesting regarding their demands, including salaries.
During this time, no official went out to talk to the protesting employees, and the employees continued their demonstration.
Meanwhile, addressing the foundation day event, Anand Kumar, Chairman of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, said that the public has trust in Roadways, and it is the responsibility of all employees to uphold that trust alongside management. He urged employees to actively participate in its development. He praised the efforts of Roadways in every situation and commended the employees for their dedication.
On one side, there was a festive atmosphere at the Roadways headquarters, while on the other side, employees of the Rajasthan Transport Corporation Joint Employees Federation have been continuing their sit-in protest in front of the Rajasthan Roadways headquarters for the past five days. The protestors claimed that no official from the Roadways headquarters has listened to their demands over the past five days. The federation members will continue their sit-in protest until October 5th, and if their demands are not met during this period, they will organize a rally from October 6th onwards.
