Kota police launches Operation Prahar

The city police initiated Operation Prahar to take major action against the criminals. In a significant operation, the city police conducted area domination and apprehended 85 suspects within a single day. A total of 73 teams comprising 383 police personnel were deployed for this operation. They conducted raids at 228 locations, resulting in the registration of 36 cases and the arrest of 85 individuals involved in criminal activities. Additionally, the police took action against illegal drugs and illicit liquor, filing a dozen cases. Furthermore, enforcement actions were carried out under the Motor Vehicles Act, leading to the seizure of three vehicles. Moreover, two wanted criminals were apprehended during the operation.

Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan said that in view of the increasing crimes in the city, a plan was prepared to take action against them for the last one week and the criminals were identified. To curb their criminal activities, the operation was carried out from 5 am to 9:00 am on Sunday 12th. The entire operation was monitored through drone cameras using police teams along with women constables and dog squads. Police teams took action at 228 places. Under Operation Prahar, the police also took action against criminals involved in illegal weapons.

Superintendent of Police Amrita Duhan said that this type of campaign will continue continuously and every small and big criminal of the city has come under the surveillance of the police.

He told that there are more illegal encroachments in the campaign and action is also being taken to cut the illegal connections and now bulldozers will also be used on the encroachments. He said that criminals who stay online till late night on Instagram and other social media are also being monitored.

Such unwanted accounts are also being made public and details of movable and immovable properties of the criminals are also being prepared. 85 criminals were arrested under section 107 191 and three vehicles were seized by taking action against active criminals under BA Act. Two persons were arrested on execution of warrant and two active criminals were accused of illegal electricity consumption.
