Entrepreneurial insights unveiled at RU seminar

A two-day seminar on social entrepreneurship, self-reflection, and strategy for the future was inaugurated on Wednesday by the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Center of Rajasthan University and the Media Foundation-Indian Youth Parliament. During the seminar held at the R.A. Poddar Management Institute of the University, discussions were held on social entrepreneurship, self-reflection, and the future. On the first day, the seminar was initiated with Guru Vandana, Ganpati Stuti, and Rajasthani folk songs by Padma Shri Munna Ji and renowned folk singer Begum Batool.
During the session, Professor Alpana Kateja, the Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan University, highlighted that this event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity in the academic field of social entrepreneurship. Rajasthan has seen numerous successful experiments at the social level, and this seminar will help understand and learn from these achievements.
During the event, Chief Guest and Former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A.D. Sawant, emphasised the potential for entrepreneurship in addressing environmental issues. The event’s coordinator, Prof. Anurag Sharma, mentioned that this was a historic occasion for the university as four Padma Shri awardees in the field of social entrepreneurship were taking part in the event.During the event, Mihir Gautam, a senior journalist, discussed the latest aspects of entrepreneurship. He stressed the importance of exploring new opportunities in the field of social media. Speaking about the technical aspects of social entrepreneurship, he highlighted that in today’s world, every product, promotion, and marketing strategy heavily relies on various social media platforms.
In this field, entrepreneurs should understand their income and improve their entrepreneurship to cater to the new generation. During the seminar, Sunil Sharma, Secretary of the Higher Education Department of the Rajasthan government, also shared his thoughts.
