The team of the Election Commission of India arrived in Jaipur on Friday for its three-day tour. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioner Anoop Chandra Pandey, and Election Commissioner Arun Goyal reviewed the preparations for the 2023 Legislative Assembly elections with senior officials of the state and reviewed the work done so far.
Chief Election Officer Praveen Gupta informed that on the first day of the three-day program, the Chief Election Commissioner, Election Commissioner, and other senior officials of the recognized political parties met with representatives. After that, the Commission discussed the 2023 Legislative Assembly elections with senior officers of agencies such as the state police, CPF, income tax, excise, transport, commercial tax department, state lead bank coordinator, railways, Central Security Force, excise, income tax, transport, commercial tax, major bank, Narcotics Control Bureau, and airport authorities. During this time, a PowerPoint presentation on the preparations made so far for the upcoming state assembly was presented to the Commission.
Today, there will be a meeting with divisional commissioners, collectors, and police officers. On the second day of the tour, on Saturday, there will be a meeting with all district collectors, police superintendents, all divisional commissioners, and all police range inspectors. It will review preparations district-wise. After this, at 7 pm, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, on behalf of the Election Department, will inaugurate the sweep exhibition at the State Agriculture Management Institute in Durgapura.
