JAIPUR: Ambulance employees have been on strike for several days demanding inclusion in the contractual cadre of employees and payment of salary according to UTI Bank norms. Ambulance workers, speaking at a press conference, said that ambulance employees have been working continuously for permanentization with a demand for low salaries since 2008, but due to exploitation by service provider companies and various types of harassment, these ambulance workers are unable to meet their expenses in the current inflationary times. Since August 21, ambulance employees have been protesting against the service suspension of ambulance service throughout Rajasthan, by tying black bands, because no demand was heard by the government. After the failure of two rounds of talks, no further talks have been held. Sujaram Sarn, state president of the Ambulance Employee Association, said that the government should immediately pay attention to the demands of ambulance employees and reinstate ambulance services.
