Triptii Dimri finds herself in hot water after skipping a highly anticipated event in Jaipur, where she was expected to speak about women’s empowerment. Entrepreneurs from the FICCI FLO organization have taken to social media, calling for a boycott of her upcoming film, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
On Monday evening, Triptii was scheduled to attend a FICCI FLO event focusing on Nari Shakti (Women Empowerment) at a hotel on JLN Marg. However, she failed to appear, sparking outrage among the organizers. One entrepreneur involved in the event shared that she was informed via phone that Triptii would arrive within five minutes, but she never showed up.
This is so bad, ya! Just because #TriptiiDimri is a celeb that doesnt give anyone the right to do such things for a meagre 5 L.
Not only her, many actors will be scared to attend ficci flo’s events #VickyVidyaKaWohWalaVideo

The deal for Triptii’s appearance was reportedly worth ₹5.5 lakh, which further fueled the anger of the entrepreneurs who felt cheated. In light of her absence, they announced plans to file a case against the actor and called for the Jaipur community to boycott her and her film. During the event, attendees were seen defacing Triptii’s posters and publicly expressing their disappointment.
Despite the backlash, Triptii is busy promoting her upcoming comedy film, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, alongside co-star Rajkummar Rao. The film revolves around the chaotic aftermath of a lost sex tape from a newly married couple in the ’90s. It is set to hit theaters on October 11, coinciding with the release of Alia Bhatt’s film, Jigra.
When contacted for comment regarding the boycott and the defaced posters, Triptii’s team declined to respond, leaving fans and critics waiting for her side of the story.
