On Sunday, the second day of Jaipur Education Summit-2024 witnessed a special session ‘Sorry Papa’ for the students and especially their parents. In this, the ever-increasing student suicide cases and the letter written before taking this fatal step remained in the minds of the children. The ongoing conflict was brought to the fore. In this special session, Dr Shiv Gautam, Raman Kant Sharma and Sunil Narnaulia described the modern era as an era of ambition and expectations.
He said, “Parents want their children to behave as per their wish and children find themselves alone even in a crowd of thousands and are unable to express their pain. Children are unable to bear the pressure of parents and society. The fear of being left behind from the crowd keeps them under stress and due to this fear of failure, they commit suicide. It was said that on average 4 to 5 children are committing suicide every month.”
In ‘Moral Values of Next Generation’, Dr. Vartika Arora and Indrajit Kaur, Advocate in Rajasthan High Court, told children about moral values in life. Inderjit Kaur said, “Moral values, values and discipline come from home. Today’s generation is moving away from all this. Stress is the result of this. In such a situation, today’s generation will have to grow a little older. Educators and parents have a major role in this who can give a positive mindset to children.”
