Jaguar, with its heritage for luxury and performance, embarked on a major leap towards the future by unveiling at Miami Art Week on Monday its much-awaited electric concept car. The new product, named Type 00, was unveiled in bold colours of Miami pink and London blue. The unveiling comes just days after online leaked images of the vehicle which have sparked speculations and excitement.
The Type 00 is described as a concept vehicle with “bold forms and exuberant proportions” that promise to inspire future Jaguars. The car is a stark departure from the British automaker’s more traditional, sleek aesthetics in favor of something more daring and full of the future.
Fans of the brand may also see this car with some features that resemble cartoon-like design, especially in vibrant colours like Miami pink and London blue. The car has its own series of innovative details in design, such as a brass-etched Jaguar logo on either side of the car and rear-facing cameras instead of the normal side mirrors. These cameras are held in gold patches on the body of the car, giving the car its unique look.
There is no rear windscreen to the car, which actually looks pretty cool because behind the front wheels, the installation of rear-view cameras sits under gold patches. Lastly, the front windscreen smoothes out perfectly to the side windows, which provides a “wraparound effect” and has been described like wearing a racing helmet.
The Type 00 is built on a dedicated electric platform, and according to Jaguar, this will offer up to 478 miles of range. Another impressive feature is its rapid charging system, where 200 miles can be charged in just 15 minutes. This shift towards an all-electric lineup from a company like Jaguar represents a big move away from their heritage of petrol cars. The company aims to capitalise on the increasing demand for electric vehicles.
Jaguar officially reveals its new Type 00 electric vehicle concept. Betting the woke crowd will be enough to support your business is a dumb play. Liberals live in a bubble.

This reveal happens in the wake of some controversy with Jaguar’s rebranding. This includes a whole new logo, but also goes as far as a significant new direction for the company. It has taken a lot of backbone to move away from heritage to appeal to a younger, probably more diverse audience. This will have the backlash of some critics finding it to be “woke” marketing. For this reason, however, Jaguar executives believe that the brand needs a new generation of drivers as it shifts from its diesel models to fully electric cars.
Owned by India’s Tata Group, Jaguar has been behind its peers in electric vehicle offerings. The aging Jaguar I-Pace remains the sole electric model on the current lineup. Yet, the company is pushing the limits with electric technology. Three new electric models are in the pipeline and set to be launched before 2026. The Type 00, when unveiled in late 2025, will cost over £100,000 for its production-ready variant.
Unveiling the Type 00 and continuing investments in electric vehicles, Jaguar has been signaling a new chapter for the iconic British brand. The company is dedicated to redefining luxury and performance for modern times and creating cars that appeal not only to the old but also to the new enthusiasts and environmentally conscious buyers. As Jaguar moves toward its all-electric future, the Type 00 is a glimpse of the bold designs and innovative technologies that will shape the brand in the years to come.
