At least 15 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on three areas outside Hezbollah’s traditional strongholds, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, as reported by *The Times of Israel*. The highest death toll occurred in the village of Maaysra, north of Beirut, where the ministry reported “nine dead and 15 wounded” in an “Israeli enemy strike.” The initial toll of five dead was later revised upward, as per The Times of Israel.

Further casualties were reported in other areas. In the village of Deir Billa, near the northern town of Batroun, an Israeli strike resulted in two deaths, four injuries, and the discovery of unidentified “body parts,” according to the ministry. Another strike on Barja, in the Shouf district south of Beirut, left four people dead and 18 wounded, raising an earlier report of 14 wounded in the same area, The Times of Israel stated.

In northern Gaza, Israeli forces struck the Jabalia refugee camp, killing at least 22 people, including women and children, according to a report by Al Jazeera. The Israeli military issued evacuation orders for residents in northern Gaza, particularly those near the Jabalia camp, as violence in the region escalated. The order directs civilians to relocate to southern Gaza. Since October 1, food aid to northern Gaza has been cut off due to the ongoing violence.

Simultaneously, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported approximately 30 projectiles fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory, triggering sirens in the Upper Galilee region. In a post on X, the IDF wrote, “Approx. 30 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory following sirens that sounded in the Upper Galilee area. Fallen projectiles were identified in the area.”

In another update, the IDF stated, “Sirens sounding in the city of Haifa and the surrounding area.”

Earlier in the day, multiple rocket launches were identified from Lebanon after the Yom Kippur fast began. The IDF also reported that two UAVs had crossed from Lebanon into central Israel, with one striking a civilian building. “Since the beginning of the Yom Kippur fast, multiple rocket launches have been identified from Lebanon. A short while ago, two UAVs were identified crossing from Lebanon into central Israel. The UAVs were monitored from the moment they crossed the Lebanese border. A hit on a civilian building was identified and one UAV was intercepted,” the IDF stated on X.
