Ishaan Khatter has claimed the top spot on IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities list this week, following the release of the Netflix show The Perfect Couple. Reflecting on his accomplishment and the success of the show, Khatter expressed his gratitude, calling it a “surreal and humbling” experience.
The actor’s rise to the top of the list is attributed to the buzz surrounding his international role as Shooter Dival in The Perfect Couple. Actress Patralekhaa Paul holds the fifth spot, director Anubhav Sinha is at 21st, Vijay Verma stands at 22nd, and Arvind Swamy ranks 31st.
The Perfect Couple, directed by Susanne Bier and developed by Jenna Lamia, is based on the 2018 novel by Elin Hilderbrand. The show, featuring an ensemble cast including Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, and Dakota Fanning, tells the story of a lavish wedding that takes a dark turn when a body washes ashore, making everyone at the wedding a suspect.
