Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, during a comprehensive review meeting with officials from various departments, announced that the inaugural IPL match at the PCA Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur is scheduled for March 23. Jain emphasized the need for meticulous planning and execution of preparations for the event.

To facilitate a smooth experience for spectators, Deputy Commissioner Jain outlined plans for two large parking sites outside the stadium. She instructed officials to ensure cleanliness on roads, in urinals, and around lights, reflectors, and VVIP parking within the stadium premises. Jain urged all officers to fulfill their responsibilities diligently to ensure timely completion of all necessary arrangements.

Expressing zero tolerance for any shortcomings in the preparations for the first cricket match, Jain specifically directed police officials to coordinate security and traffic arrangements for the inaugural game. She emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order during matches and instructed officials to address any incidents of hooliganism promptly. Jain also stressed the need for smooth traffic flow and comprehensive facilities for the public during their commute.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Jain instructed fire brigade officials to make on-site arrangements and urged the health department to deploy medical teams at the match venue for immediate medical assistance if required. The meeting was attended by various officials, including CA GMADA Rajiv Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke, S P (Headquarters) Tushar Gupta, SDM Kharar Gurmander Singh, Assistant Commissioner (General) Davy Goyal, and DSP Dharamvir Singh, as well as representatives from various departments.
