Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat first against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Thursday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
CSK leads the table with five wins, two losses, and ten points. They defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 49 runs in their previous match. RR is third in the points table, with four wins and three losses.
They have eight points and lost their most recent match by seven runs to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RR captain Samson stated during the toss that the team is good at defending its total.
“We’d like to bat first.” We prefer to defend because it is our strongest suit. It feels great to play RR’s 200th game, and it feels even better to have been playing for ten years. I’d like to see some pink here today, but it’s yellow, and we all know why (smiles). Boult is out with a niggle, so Zampa takes his place.”
CSK captain MS Dhoni stated that the itch moves quickly, but the average bounce is slightly lower. “We’re trying to instill character in our bowlers and get them to believe in themselves.” We’re on the same side.”
