There have been lot of border tension in North Kashmir in the past year, but for the past several months there has been lull in the cross border skirmishes here. According to the local news agencies, police and army have identified the intruder as a Pakistani citizen and said that he was having an identity card of Sarfaraz Mir.

On Wednesday, in the House government said that they have completed the pilot project for new fencing on the borders with Pakistan. Giving details government said that it would be the fencing with new `anti-cut and `anti-rust’ modular fencing.

There have been reports submitted by the security agencies that Pakistani intruders are able to cut the fencing on the borders and with the result the government has decided to replace old fencing with Pakistan in Punjab with this modular fencing. However, government has not said whether this fencing would be brought on the borders in Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan.
