The Department of Environment Studies at Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh, in collaboration with “Bharat Soka Gakkai,” an international NGO, organized a SOHA sustainability exhibition on the college campus. The exhibition was inaugurated by the college’s Principal, Dr. Abha Sudarshan.
In her address, Dr. Sudarshan emphasized the need for everyone to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. She applauded the efforts of the students who participated in this awareness campaign cum exhibition. Dr. Sudarshan also praised the volunteers from the NGO for their dedication and selflessness toward creating a sustainable society.
The students were made aware of the impending environmental issues and the efforts being made by people around the globe to resolve these issues through an online training conducted by the NGO prior to the exhibition. More than 50 students from BA I, II, and III participated in the exhibition and were awarded certificates. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dean, and Dr. Baljit Singh, Vice Principal, also graced the occasion. The event was organized by Dr. Ritu Sarsoha and Dr. Amanpreet Kaur from the Department of Environment Studies.
