Norwegian Ambassador to India, May-Elin-Stener recently called Yoga one of India’s greatest Gifts to the world on Wednesday.
She made this statement in response to PM Modi’s post on X, where he talked about Yoga’s 10th International Day of Yoga, which is on June 21.
In addition, she also shared videos and pictures, where she was doing yoga. In addition, PM Modi also declared, that Yoga has truly united people around the world.
‘In ten days from now, the world will mark the 10th International Day of Yoga, celebrating a timeless practice that celebrates oneness and harmony. Yoga has transcended cultural and geographical boundaries, uniting millions across the globe in the pursuit of holistic well-being,’ said PM Modi.
Responding to PM Modi’s post Norway said, ‘Agree PM @narendramodi, #yoga is one of India’s greatest gifts to the world! Here I am, aiming to master the headstand I started #yogalife when posted @NorwayUN & gives chance to go level up! Are you with me? It’s #internationalyogaday, so let’s do #yoga challenge!’

Earlier on Tuesday, PM Modi called for people to make yoga an integral part of their lives and also published various videos, describing advantages of various asanas.
Taking to X, PM modi said, ‘As we approach this year’s Yoga Day, it is essential to reiterate our commitment to making Yoga an integral part of our lives and also encouraging others to make it a part of theirs. Yoga offers a sanctuary of calm, enabling us to navigate life’s challenges with calm and fortitude.’
About International Yoga DayÂ
Since 2015, International Yoga Day is being annually celebrated globally on June 21, after PM Modi advocated for the day to celebrate this ancient exercise routine, which got formally accepted by United Nations General Assembly in 2014.
Recently, in 2023, Prime Minister Modi led a special yoga session on the lawns of the UN Headquarters in New York to mark the 9th International Yoga Day.
Subsequently, this unique session was officially recognized by the Guinness World Records for having the most nationalities participate in a Yoga event.
