The Indian Stock Market is to remain closed due to Lok Sabha elections 2024 tomorrow in Mumbai.

The normal trading will start on Tuesday. However, the next holiday is scheduled after May 20. Which is June 17 for Bakrid.

Meanwhile, on saturday, the stock exchange organized special session for trading, where investors showed interest, as market closed on green mark.

In BSE, the sensex closed down at 73,959 points, which is the rise of 42 points. In similar manner, Nifty of NSE, closed down at 22,502 points with 35.91 points.

At this situation, Nestle India, Power Grid, Tata Motors, Hindalco, ONGC, Divis Lab, and TCS witnessed an increase in their share prices.

Moreover, after much uncertainty due to electoral outcome, Dalal Street is now showing bullish growth. According to experts, they expect, that this positive trend will continue.

As per Brokerage Prabhudas Lilladher’s report titled ‘India Strategy Report – Mandate 2024, Brace of Volatility, it hopes the continuation of policy, if BJP Led NDA secures its third term and expects, that themes around infrastructure, defense, capital goods (CG), new energy, and tourism will continue to perform well.

Now coming to Elections, the six seats of Mumbai are going on Polls on Monday. These seats are- Mumbai North, Mumbai Northwest, Mumbai Northeast, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai South and Mumbai South Central.

While other constituencies of Maharashtra, that will go on polls, this ongoing fifth phase of the election, include Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi and Thane.

All-in-all, voting in Maharashtra has been concluded in first four phases. While the remaining fifth phase will be held on May 20.

Subsequently, the counting and its results will be declared on June 4th.
