The Indian shooting contingent showcased impressive performances on the first day of the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany, continuing their strong form from the recent Olympic Selection Trials.

Esha Singh Shines in 25M Pistol Qualifications

Esha Singh was a standout performer, finishing sixth in the women’s 25M Pistol qualifications with a score of 293. Her performance set a positive tone for the Indian team. However, Rhythm Sangwan, who recently secured second place in the 10M Air Pistol trials, struggled in this event, scoring 281 and placing 68th.

Strong Showing in 10M Air Rifle

In the 10M Air Rifle category, several Indian shooters delivered notable performances. Sandeep Singh, the top performer in the Trials, narrowly missed qualification, finishing ninth with a score of 631.4. Divyansh Panwar scored 631.2, placing him 12th, while Rudrankksh Patil finished 17th with a score of 630.7.

Arjun Babuta, competing for ranking points only (RPO), recorded an impressive score of 635.1, the second-best of the day in the event.

Women’s Air Rifle Success

In the women’s air rifle event, Ramita continued her impressive run, scoring 633.0 to secure a spot in the finals in fourth place. Tilottama Sen and Elavenil Valarivan also competed, finishing 30th and 45th with scores of 629.3 and 628.3, respectively.

The Indian Rifle and Pistol contingent’s performance on the first day of the ISSF World Cup in Munich indicates a promising outlook for the competition. Their sharp-shooting form and consistent results demonstrate their readiness and potential for upcoming international events.
