After a tight 2-2 draw (4-2 in the shootout) and a 2-3 defeat against Belgium in their first two matches, the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team faced Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push in the third game of their European tour, ending in a 4-5 loss. Despite goals from Captain Rohit (18′), Sourabh Anand Khushwaha (24′), Ankit Pal (32′), and Arshdeep Singh (58′), India couldn’t overturn the 5-goal lead by Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push.

The game started with Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push taking an early lead with two penalty corner goals within minutes. India fought back with a penalty stroke from Captain Rohit but conceded another goal before halftime. Sourabh Anand Khushwaha’s goal brought India within one, but Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push maintained their advantage, leading 3-2 at halftime.

Ankit Pal’s field goal in the third quarter equalized the score at 3-3, but Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push quickly regained the lead. Arshdeep Singh’s goal leveled the score again in the fourth quarter, but Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push secured the win with a late goal.

The Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team will face Germany in their next match on May 28 in Monchengladbach.
