The Indian Army has undertaken a commendable initiative aimed at fostering national unity, cultural exchange, and understanding by organizing a National Integration Tour for 35 community members from Sasoma and Gaya villages in Ladakh. The tour, spanning from November 30 to December 04, 2023, included 29 females and 06 males.
During the tour, participants visited prominent landmarks such as the National Museum and India Gate, with a focus on promoting culture, architecture, and a broader understanding of the nation. On December 02, the group paid a visit to the National War Memorial, fostering patriotism and national pride. Additionally, the contingent explored the Rail Museum, Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalay, and Rashtrapati Bhawan, aiming to expose members to the history, evolution, and technological advancements of Indian Railways.
This initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and strengthening unity among citizens from diverse backgrounds. The National Integration Tour serves as a valuable effort to enhance cultural understanding, instill a sense of national unity, and inspire Ladakh’s youth to contribute actively to national integration. The tour provides an opportunity for residents of Ladakh to immerse themselves in the rich diversity of India’s culture and traditions, fostering a deep appreciation for the country’s unique heritage.
Major General SS Bakshi, SM, GOC, Leh Sub Area, flagged off the National Integration Tour on December 04, 2023, emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity.
