In a shocking incident, YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav’s residence in Gurugram’s Sector 57 came under gunfire in the early hours of Sunday. Around 5:30 AM, three masked men arrived near the house and fired more than a dozen bullets before fleeing. The sudden gunfire jolted the quiet neighbourhood, leaving residents alarmed.
CCTV Footage Reveals Attackers
Elvish’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, said the family woke up to the terrifying sounds of gunshots. “We heard a sound around 5.30 in the morning. When we came outside and looked, we saw that bullets had been fired here. Then we immediately checked the CCTV. We found that there were two people involved for sure, and probably a third one too. We informed the police. These people fired more than 15 rounds,” he told reporters.
The CCTV footage captured the attackers, but their faces were covered with masks, making identification difficult. Police are now analysing the footage for leads.
Family Expresses Fear and Concern
Ram Avtar admitted that the family is shaken after the incident. “Elvish comes here rarely. Usually, he stays away due to his work. Elvish is fine, I spoke to him. May God give wisdom to the people who did this. Naturally, we feel scared,” he said.
He added that Elvish does not often stay at the Gurugram home, which spared him from being directly affected during the gunfire.
Police Confirms the Firing
Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep Kumar confirmed the attack.
“Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The incident took place at around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing,” he said.
Police have collected empty cartridges from the site and tightened security around the area. Investigators are exploring possible motives, including personal enmity, extortion threats, or gang-related activity.
Past Controversies and Threat Angles
Elvish Yadav, who rose to fame with his YouTube videos and later gained nationwide attention after winning Bigg Boss OTT 2, has also been in the headlines for controversies in the past, including cases linked to alleged rave parties and wildlife crime. Although police have not linked this incident to those controversies yet, investigators are not ruling out the possibility of personal or professional disputes.
Next Steps in Investigation
Police teams are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas and questioning locals who may have noticed suspicious activity. The attackers reportedly fled on a motorcycle, but their route is still being traced. Additional security has been deployed outside the house to reassure the family and neighbours.
