Yogi Adityanath Joins Prime Minister Modi’s Varanasi Visit as Part of Two-Day Tour in UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple on Monday morning, offering prayers and performing Jalabhishek at Baba Vishwanath. CM Yogi, part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Varanasi, wished for the well-being of the people of Uttar Pradesh during the rituals.

Accompanied by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State Ravi Shankar Jaiswal, CM Yogi worshipped and performed rituals at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. He later joined PM Modi at the inauguration of Swarved Mahamandir at Umaraha and is scheduled to accompany the Prime Minister to a public meeting in Barki, Varanasi.

The heightened VVIP movement due to the presence of the Prime Minister prompted increased security measures in the city. PM Modi, during the inauguration of Swarved Mahamandir, emphasized India’s cultural heritage, highlighting the importance of reconstructing cultural symbols post-independence.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi stated, “Today the grandeur of Vishwanath Dham in Kashi is singing the story of India’s imperishable glory, Mahakaal Mahalok is giving proof of our immortality, Kedarnath Dham is also touching new heights of development.” He called for pride in India’s heritage and emphasized the need for cultural identity and self-respect.

During the two-day visit, PM Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects, participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Sewapuri, and witness live sports events as part of Kashi Sansad Khel Pratiyogita 2023. The Prime Minister has focused on transforming Varanasi’s landscape and enhancing the ease of living in the region over the last nine years.
