Yogesh Kumar Leads in Haryana as BJP Gains Momentum; Vinesh Phogat Trails

In a surprising development in Haryana, BJP candidate Yogesh Kumar has taken the lead with 26,670 votes, while Vinesh Phogat trails with 25,433 votes, falling behind by a significant margin of 1,237 votes as of 11:25 AM after six rounds of counting. The election results are intensifying, and Yogesh Kumar appears to be gaining momentum.

On the other hand, Congress’s Bhupendra Singh Hooda, contesting from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat, has surged ahead with an impressive 29,920 votes, extending his lead by a remarkable 22,182 votes. Aditya Surjewala, the Indian National Congress candidate, is also in the lead with 17,910 votes, holding a comfortable margin of 2,623 votes.

Expressing hope and confidence in a Congress victory, Aditya Surjewala commented on the latest trends after the BJP’s initial lead in Haryana. “Only two rounds of counting have taken place so far. In the third round, I am ahead by 2,600 votes. It’s too early to gauge the trend based on just two rounds; we need at least ten rounds to draw any conclusions. Congress will prevail in Haryana,” he stated.

According to the Election Commission data, three to five rounds of counting have been completed in most of the 90 constituencies in the region. Meanwhile, as of 10:15 AM, the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 28 seats.

As the counting continues, the trends released by the Election Commission of India indicate that the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Congress alliance has crossed the halfway mark with leads in 47 seats as of 10:15 AM.

The voting results will determine the electoral fate of several former ministers, including Tara Chand, Muzaffar Baig, Raman Bhalla, Basharat Bukha, as well as Omar Abdullah, Ravinder Raina, Yousuf Tarigami, and others.
