“Yoga For One Earth, One Health” Announced as 2025 Yoga Day Theme by PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” as the theme for International Yoga Day 2025 during his monthly Mann Ki Baat radio address. He highlighted the significance of yoga in promoting global health and encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.

Countdown to International Yoga Day

PM Modi noted that less than 100 days remain for the 2025 International Yoga Day and urged people to start practicing yoga if they haven’t already. “If you have not yet included yoga in your life, do it now. It is not too late yet,” he said.

India’s Gift to the World

Recalling that the first International Day of Yoga was celebrated in 2015 after the United Nations declared June 21 as Yoga Day, Modi said, “Now this day has taken the shape of a grand festival of yoga. This is such a priceless gift from India to humanity, which will be useful for future generations.”

Global Recognition of Yoga and Ayurveda

PM Modi highlighted the growing interest in yoga and Ayurveda worldwide. He mentioned Chile’s increasing adoption of Ayurveda and recalled a conversation with the President of Chile during his visit to Brazil last year.

Somos India: Spreading Yoga and Ayurveda

Modi praised the efforts of “Somos India,” a team that has been promoting yoga and Ayurveda in Spanish-speaking countries for nearly a decade. “Their focus is on treatment as well as educational programs. They are also translating information on yoga and Ayurveda into Spanish,” he added.

Appeal to Adopt Yoga for Better Health

The prime minister emphasized that a growing number of young people are adopting yoga and Ayurveda as effective wellness tools. He appealed to everyone to embrace yoga and take pride in India’s rich traditional knowledge that promotes overall well-being.

As the countdown to International Yoga Day 2025 begins, PM Modi’s message aims to inspire millions to take a step towards a healthier life through yoga.
