The water level of Yamuna rose up to 205.22 meters, just a little below the 205.33 m danger level at around 9 AM. The officials confirmed that the situation is being monitored and all the local authorities have been ordered to take the precautionary measures to handle a flood situation. According to the forecast, the water level will continue to rise.
“The reason for the increase in level is mostly due to the high volumes of water released from the Wazirabad and Hathnikund bar every hour,” an efficient from the central flood room stated.
As per the flood control department, the Hathnikund is releasing around 38, 897 cusecs water while Wawa is releasing 45, 620 cusecs of water, every hour.
The warning mark for Delhi is 204.50 meters, as per the danger mark, it is 205.33 meters. Evacuation starts at 206 m.
