“Women of this country stand like a rock with PM Modi”: Amit Shah hits out at Rahul Gandhi over ‘Shakti’ remark

Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, stating that the Congress leader lacks knowledge and respect for Indian traditions. At the News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2024, Shah highlighted the strong support women in the country have for Prime Minister Modi, saying, “Women power in this country stands like a rock with PM Modi.” He emphasized that women will demonstrate their strength in the upcoming elections, asserting that Rahul Gandhi is ignorant of Indian traditions. Shah praised the significance of “Maa Shakti” (Mother Power) in Indian culture, stating, “Maa Shakti has been considered the greatest power in our country for thousands of years.”

Regarding the Congress’s alleged policy to divide India, Shah assured that the BJP is strong enough to prevent any such division. He also discussed electoral funding, stating that while the BJP received Rs 6,200 crore, the Indi Alliance led by Rahul Gandhi received a similar amount. Shah dismissed accusations of receiving excessive donations, highlighting the BJP’s significant electoral success.

Shah discussed actions taken against black money since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, noting that most confiscated properties belonged to individuals involved in corruption rather than political parties. He reiterated that strict action will be taken against corruption, regardless of the perpetrator’s political affiliation.

Shah expressed confidence in the BJP’s performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, aiming to secure over 400 seats. He attributed this confidence to Prime Minister Modi’s ability to fulfill the hopes and dreams of the Indian people. Shah also commented on the opposition’s tendency to criticize Modi before elections, noting that such criticism has historically led to increased support for the BJP.
