Women Assault Security Guard in Tamil Nadu Over Parking Dispute | WATCH

A violent confrontation between a group of tourists and a security guard in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, resulted in the arrest of three individuals. The incident occurred when a 49-year-old guard, Ezhumalai, refused to allow the tourists to park their car in a no-parking zone.

Incident Details

Footage of the altercation shows Ezhumalai stopping the family from entering the restricted area. Initially, they engaged in a verbal dispute, but the situation escalated quickly when the tourists exited the vehicle to confront him. Almost immediately, one woman began to slap Ezhumalai, followed by two men and another woman who joined in the assault. They violently beat him, even snatching his stick to strike him. Ezhumalai’s cries for help eventually drew the attention of nearby onlookers, who intervened.

After the incident, Ezhumalai filed a complaint against the tourists, leading to the arrest of three suspects.

Public Reaction

Journalist R. Sivaraman shared the video of the incident on X, stating, “Women tourists beat a private security personnel near Five Rathas, Mamallapuram when he asked them not to take their car to a no-parking area. Hope Mamallapuram police will act on seeing this.” He tagged the official X pages of Tamil Nadu Police and Chengalpattu District Police.

The video quickly went viral, sparking various reactions from social media users. One outraged user commented, “The whole family seems to be in serious mental health condition and needs immediate rehab; the first lady who started beating the guy needs shock treatment, jail then shock treatment alternatively. Others should be jailed after rehab. This is highly unacceptable. What nonsense are we witnessing? Hope the police act swiftly.”

Another user remarked, “They should be behind bars! Whatever the issue, they have absolutely no right to manhandle the security guy!” A third user noted, “The whole family seems to have anger issues… need rehab.” A fourth added, “Though fault is on both sides, physical exchanges should have been averted by the passengers (seems to be educated). Also, the one who took the video didn’t even attempt to stop the physical abuse.”

Identifying the Suspects

According to reports, the identified suspects include 41-year-old S. Prabhu Inbadass and 29-year-old K. Keerthana from Mudichur, along with 38-year-old Shanmuga Priya from Maraimalai Nagar. The latter’s husband is currently on the run.
