New Delhi: In a shocking display of inhumanity, an appalling incident took place in a residential society in Greater Noida. A CCTV recording captured the disturbing sequence of events at the Gaur City 2 apartment complex, revealing a horrifying act of aggression.

The footage shows a woman forcibly dragging a young boy out of an elevator and assaulting him after he requested her not to bring her unleashed dog inside. The distressing visuals from the CCTV footage highlight the shocking turn of events that unfolded in the residential complex.

According to the footage, the incident involved an eight-year-old boy who was alone in the elevator after returning from his tuition class. As the lift door opened on one of the floors, the woman was seen standing outside with her dog, which was not on a leash. The video captures the boy pleading with her not to allow the dog inside without a leash. However, instead of complying, the woman suddenly lunged at the child, forcibly dragging him out of the elevator. The lift doors then closed, and she allegedly proceeded to physically assault him, slapping and thrashing him multiple times. Moments later, the elevator doors reopened, and the boy rushed inside, crying, with the woman following him.

Following this horrifying incident, hundreds of society residents came out in protest, voicing their anger and demanding strict action. The protesters shouted slogans against the Noida police, alleging that the woman had a history of conflicts with other residents over her pet dogs.

“We received a complaint that a woman assaulted a child inside an elevator in Gaur City 2. She has been taken into custody, and a thorough investigation is underway,” stated central Noida senior police officer Shakti Mohan Awasthi.

Speaking to The Daily Guardian, DCP Central Noida, Shakti Mohan Awasthi, confirmed that a police case had been registered against the woman under sections 325 and 152A of the BNS, and she had been arrested.

It is worth noting that in recent times, several incidents have been reported from gated apartment complexes in Noida and Greater Noida involving pet dog owners engaging in disputes and altercations with other residents.
