Due to increasing cases of dengue in Haryana, the situation has begun deteriorating. On Tuesday, 76 new cases of dengue were reported in the state, taking the total number of cases to 772. A total of 49 patients have been admitted to different hospitals and 206 patients have made recoveries and have been discharged from the hospital. On the other hand, in view of the increasing cases, the health department has made separate wards for dengue in district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals as well as CHC and PHC and has also reserved beds.
The maximum cases are being reported in Jind, Rewari, Yamunanagar, Rohtak, and Gurugram. As of now, kits are available for testing dengue in all the districts, but with the fast-increasing numbers, there may be a shortage of kits in the coming days. To prevent this, the department has sought details of the demand for kits from the districts. All the districts have sent requisitions for additional kits. In the government hospitals of Faridabad, Fatehabad, and Bhiwani, separate wards have been set up for dengue. Rapid Response Action Teams have been formed to aid prevention and awareness.
In Sirsa, the health department has reserved 60 beds for dengue patients and is conducting a rapid fever mass survey regarding dengue. This will continue till the whole of August And 17 kits are with the hospital administration. Dengue wards of 10 beds each have been set up in the district hospital in Yamunanagar and in the sub-division hospital Jagadhari.
