“Will provide 5000 drones to women in agriculture sector”, says Haryana CM M L Khattar

During the ‘Lakhpati Didi Sammelan’ in Karnal, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a comprehensive plan to empower women through technology and economic opportunities. He participated in flying a drone during the event, symbolizing the state’s commitment to embracing technological advancements for women’s empowerment.

Khattar emphasized the success of nearly 55,000 self-help groups in the state, which have empowered over 6 lakh women, enabling them to achieve economic independence. The government aims to transform 258,000 women into ‘Lakhpati Didis,’ with a target of 50,000 of them earning a monthly income of one lakh rupees. A fund of Rs 200 crore has been allocated for this purpose. Additionally, the government plans to open a thousand interest-free stores, prioritizing women, to further boost their economic empowerment.

“In Haryana, almost 55,000 self-help groups have been formed, benefiting over 6 lakh women. Our goal is to see our sisters and daughters reach new heights,” Khattar said.

The Chief Minister also pledged to provide 5000 drones to women across the state, particularly those involved in agriculture, to enhance their productivity and efficiency.

“We have committed to providing 5000 drones to women to assist them in agriculture and enhance the productivity of their self-help groups,” Khattar added.

Furthermore, Khattar highlighted the establishment of Sanjha Bazars in five districts, providing women with secure areas to sell their products and earn a livelihood.

“I announced the establishment of Sanjha Bazaars, and within a day, one was opened in Karnal. Another bazaar in Fatehabad is ready for inauguration,” Khattar mentioned.

Khattar emphasized the need to move away from traditional approaches and recognize the dynamic role of women in various sectors, urging society to support and empower them.
