Both Delhi and Haryana police have announced rewards totaling Rs 2.5 lakh for information leading to Himanshu's capture.
Gurugram witnessed a scare on Sunday, August 17, after gunshots rang out outside the home of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Himanshu Bhau gang soon came to light as a result of the incident and later took credit for the assault.
The 22-year-old infamous gangster Himanshu Bhau hails from Rohtak, Haryana. He is connected to about 18 criminal cases, including robbery, extortion, fraud, and murder, according to police data. There is one case in North Delhi, seven in Jhajjar, and ten in Rohtak.

In 2023, Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice against Bhau. He allegedly fled India in 2022 using a fake passport. His last known location was Portugal. Both Delhi and Haryana police have announced rewards totaling Rs 2.5 lakh for information leading to his capture.
The Himanshu Bhau gang has expanded dramatically in Delhi-NCR since its founding in 2020. Known for its violent crimes, extortion, and intimidation, the gang leaves its trademark, "Bhau Gang Since 2020," at crime scenes in an attempt to incite fear.
The group has been linked to a series of high-profile incidents. These include a firing at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden, an attack on a car showroom in Tilak Nagar, and a shooting at a property dealer’s home in Kabir Nagar.
Authorities believe the Gurugram shooting is part of the gang’s strategy to expand its influence in the region. The gang appears to be using public acts of violence to reinforce its power.
Delhi and Gurugram police, along with specialised crime units, have intensified operations to track down active members and curb the gang’s reach. “We are monitoring the situation closely and taking all measures to ensure public safety,” said a senior police official.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering forensic evidence from Yadav’s residence. The attack coincides with ongoing legal controversies surrounding Yadav, including allegations of using snake venom at parties.
Officials have urged citizens to remain cautious and report any suspicious activity. “The Himanshu Bhau gang has a history of violent crimes. Public vigilance is crucial to aid police efforts,” added the officer.
The incident has sparked widespread concern online, with social media users discussing the gang’s audacity and Yadav’s safety. The police have promised updates as the investigation unfolds.
