Who is G Praveen, Found Dead in US Under Mysterious Circumstances

A 26-year-old Indian student from Telangana, G Praveen, was found dead in the United States with bullet wounds. However, the exact cause of his death remains unknown, according to his family.

Friends Discovered the Body

Praveen, who was pursuing his MS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was found dead by his friends, who immediately informed his family. Shortly after, US authorities contacted them on Wednesday morning (Indian time).

His cousin Arun stated, “Some say Praveen was shot dead by unknown assailants at a store, but the cause of death is not yet known to the family.”

Missed Call Before Tragedy

Earlier that day, Praveen called his father in the early hours of Wednesday. Unfortunately, his father was asleep and missed the call. Now, his parents are in deep shock after receiving the devastating news.

Family Seeks Help

The family, originally from Ranga Reddy district near Hyderabad, has reached out to local political leaders and MLAs for assistance. Meanwhile, US authorities have assured them that an autopsy will determine the official cause of death.

Who Was G Praveen?

Praveen completed his B.Tech in Hyderabad before moving to the US in 2023 to pursue his MS. He visited India in December 2024 and returned to the US in January this year.

Rising Concerns Over Student Safety

Sadly, Praveen’s case is not the first of its kind. At least two other Indian students from Telangana have faced similar tragedies in the US. One student from Khammam was reportedly shot dead in November last year, while another from Hyderabad met the same fate in January this year.
