Danish Ali is the Joint Secretary Candidate in the JNUSU 2025 elections. She stands as the representative for the Left Unity, as an activist for the All India Students' Association (AISA) against Anuj Damara, the candidate from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

Danish Ali is a first-year PHD student at Jawahar Lal Nehru University. She hails from a small village in Bandarbarru, in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh. She first entered the spotlight in 2019, after leading the students' union in support of Jamia Millia Islamia students against police violence during the Citizenship Amendment Act protests.
In 2022, she enrolled in an MA course at CHS and is contesting for the position of joint secretary in the JNUSU 2025 elections.
