Law enforcement officials have seized luxury cars from the home of a popular YouTuber amid a major probe into illegal online betting and gambling. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched the residence of Anurag Dwivedi in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, and uncovered high-end vehicles, including a Lamborghini Urus and a BMW Z4.

The action comes as part of a wider investigation into alleged money laundering linked to betting apps such as Sky Exchange. Officials believe that illegal earnings were channelled into assets, including expensive cars and foreign property.

Who is Anurag Dwivedi?

Anurag Dwivedi is a digital creator and fantasy cricket expert from Nawabganj, Unnao district. He runs a YouTube channel focused on fantasy cricket tips, Dream11 team picks, and match analysis with a large follower base. His content also included promotions of online betting and gambling apps.

Authorities allege that he used his online influence to encourage users to join illegal betting platforms. Investigators say this helped the betting network expand its user base and generate massive amounts of money.

Anurag Dwivedi YouTube Channel

Dwivedi’s primary platform is his YouTube channel “Anurag Dwivedi”, where he posts videos about cricket strategies and fantasy game insights. He also maintained a presence on Instagram and messaging platforms.

His channel attracted millions of views and a sizeable subscriber base. This helped him secure sponsorships and brand deals that contributed to his overall income. Some posts on social platforms describe him as a fantasy cricket expert with extensive experience and followers.

Anurag Dwivedi Net Worth

Industry trackers estimate that Dwivedi’s net worth could be around ₹30–35 crore (approximately $3.6–4.2 million) as of 2025. This figure includes earnings from YouTube, social media promotions, fantasy gaming wins, and brand endorsements.

His monthly income was reportedly high, with significant contributions from YouTube ad revenue, Instagram collaborations and fantasy-cricket related earnings. The luxury cars found — such as the Lamborghini Urus worth crores — were part of his assets.

The ED action was carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) amid allegations of illegal earnings from betting and gambling apps. Investigators say earnings were laundered through numerous accounts and intermediaries.

During the search, officials seized several luxury cars, including a Lamborghini Urus, a BMW Z4, and a Mercedes-Benz. These vehicles were reportedly purchased with funds suspected of being from illegal activities.

Officials also examined financial records, property documents, and banking transactions. The raids were conducted in multiple locations in Unnao.

Anurag Dwivedi: Illegal Betting Apps & Money Trail

The probe centres on online betting apps that are not legally permitted in India. Apps like Sky Exchange allow users to place bets and are alleged to generate illegal income.

Officials say Dwivedi’s role included promoting these apps to his audience. Payments were allegedly routed through hawala operators, mule accounts, and intermediaries to disguise proceeds of crime.

Investigators are now tracing the entire money trail and connections to other individuals involved.

Anurag Dwivedi: Further Arrests & Network Expansion

A separate search in Siliguri by the West Bengal Police identified other suspects, including Sonu Kumar Thakur and Vishal Bhardwaj. They are believed to have used Telegram channels and digital platforms to run betting operations.

The ED continues to widen the probe and may seize more assets or make further arrests in the coming days.

What’s Next?

Officials are analysing documents and financial data to uncover the full scope of the alleged illegal network. The case also raises questions about how online creators may be held accountable for promoting unlawful platforms.

The ED’s action sends a strong signal that influencers could face strict scrutiny if linked to illegal gambling and money laundering.
