The state government of Bihar has introduced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana (MMRY) 2025, a initiative scheme to women's employment and financial independence in the state. The main motive of the scheme is to give at least one woman of each family financial assistance so that she can pursue a business or employment of her choice.
The program will be executed by the Rural Development Department of Bihar through Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (Jeevika) in rural regions. In urban areas, execution will be facilitated by the Urban Development and Housing Department of Bihar to achieve holistic coverage in the state.
The Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana (MMRY) 2025 aims to empower women through financial assistance and gaining self-employment, making them economically independent and actively contributing members of their families and society.
The scheme's online application will be initiated shortly through Bihar Rural Development Department. Interested women can proceed with the steps given below once the scheme portal opens:
For applying under the Bihar Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana and benefiting from it, the following requirements need to be met by the applicants:
Association with Self Help Groups (SHGs): The female applicant should be an active member of any SHG of the urban area.
Go to the official portal: mmry.brlps.in or the Bihar Rural Development Department website (once active).
Follow the application and registration procedure as above.Women who are eligible are invited to get their documents ready beforehand and apply either online at mmry.brlps.in or through Jeevika offices to gain the benefits of this scheme.
As the process of application is soon to be initiated in September 2025, the MMRY 2025 is soon to usher in a new wave of self-reliance, economic independence, and prosperity among women in Bihar.
