“We have made a big difference” says Delhi Education Minister Atishi on Delhi Board Exam result

Today is a big day for India’s educational reforms. The first 10th, 12th result of Delhi Board of School Education has been announced. Delhi Education Minister Atishi said, “For the last eight years, the Kejriwal government laid a lot of emphasis on education. The maximum budget has been given to education.”

She further added, “We have made a big difference through infrastructure, teacher training etc. Lakhs of children have taken admission in government schools from private. For five years, the results of government schools are better than private ones. This year also the result of government schools in Delhi is better than the national average of CBSE and private schools across the country.”

Additionally she added, “Till now in the Indian education system, the meaning of exam has been to get marks by rote. If we want to make India the number one country in the world, then it is necessary for the children to know a lot more than textbooks. For all these, the Delhi Board of School Education was started in 2021. The best board in the world, we collaborated with it with IB.”

Delhi Education minister further explained telling her government future plans, “20 of our schools are affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education. Fifty schools will be added in the next session and private schools too.”

This year 1594 children appeared for 10th and 672 children appeared for 12th under this board. This board is very different from the rest. Other boards have only one final exam. But there are two term exams in our board, the results of both come at the end of the year,” said Atishi, the State Education Minister.

The entire assessment of one year is also included in the result. This exam is not based on rote learning, it is based on criteria. There are different criteria for different subjects. Here the number is not given on the basis of filling the page. On the basis of analysis, answers are sought from the children. The children who will get the report card will be on the basis of grade level.
