Even after the previous government took up the Nadu-Nedu program, there was a situation where 233 schools were closed. Moreover, the One Class – One Teacher policy has become very crucial in the development of school education. Previously, only 3 percent of schools had one class – one teacher, but now we have increased it to 33 percent. Through this, children will get better education and get better results in exams.
We have mainly considered 5 aspects regarding infrastructure in schools. We have mainly decided to provide leak-proof buildings, paints, benches, toilets and drinking water.
We have given ratings to government schools. There are no 5-star rated schools in AP. 40 percent are in 1, 2 stars. The goal of the public government is to bring all government schools to 3, 4 star ratings. The responsibility of completing the pending works lies with us. Wherever classrooms are needed, we have decided to complete them on a war footing.
There are Rs. 200 crore funds in the SMC account. An additional Rs. 800 crore has been allocated in the budget. Together with these two, there is a possibility of spending Rs. 1,000 crore on basic infrastructure in government schools next year. The public government will take the responsibility of bringing a 5-star rating to all government schools according to a system.
Minister Lokesh said that steps will be taken to pay the bills related to the work done between 2014-19.
Earlier, MLA Gauthu Sirisha said… The previous government adopted chaotic policies in the matter of schools. It committed large-scale irregularities in the name of Nadu-Nedu. Due to them, even today, incomplete constructions and construction of toilets have not been completed in many places.
After the coalition government came to power, a new education policy was launched under the leadership of Education Minister Lokesh and a large number of teacher posts were recruited. In the name of Manabadi – Mana Bhaskar, schools are being equipped with high standards and quality meals with rice are being provided to students through the Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal Scheme.
As a result, the number of students in government schools is increasing drastically. Students, parents and teachers are demanding that the incomplete buildings and classrooms be completed quickly. Many schools were damaged in the Titli cyclone before the 2019 elections.
