A terrifying incident captured on dash cam footage has surfaced from Bengaluru, highlighting grave concerns over road safety in the city. The video depicts a car colliding with a bike from behind, causing both the rider and pillion to be thrown into the air and crash onto the road.

According to reports, the accident occurred when a man riding an Activa was struck by a Kia car while he was on the right side of the road. The entire sequence was recorded by a dash camera mounted on another vehicle traveling ahead of the scooter.

The video was shared by a user named Prateek Singh, who described the scene: “There was a bike behind me and a Kia car behind the bike. I was at the signal. Looks like the Kia guy was on his phone and didn’t see the signal. He banged the bike and the biker in turn banged my car. Everyone in the car and bike were safe.”

Concerns were raised about the helmets worn by the bike occupants as they reportedly came off during the crash. One commenter criticized their effectiveness, stating, “These helmets have proven to be of 0 use. They came off at the exact moment they were required. These helmets are only suitable for evading traffic cameras. These won’t save any lives.” Another user highlighted the issue of helmet quality, remarking, “The quality of the helmets.
