Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 13 km section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor on Sunday. This stretch connects Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar. The corridor was built at a cost of Rs 4,600 crore. It will significantly improve connectivity between Delhi and the NCR region.

Virendra Sachdeva’s Praise
Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi BJP president, praised PM Modi at the Parivartan Rally. He highlighted the Rs 12,200 crore investment in development projects. Sachdeva also mentioned several key infrastructure projects, such as the Rithala-Kundli Metro extension, the Janakpuri-Krishna Park Metro line, and the rapid rail corridor. He said, “If anyone can develop Delhi, it’s Narendra Modi.” These projects will boost Delhi’s connectivity and mobility.

The Namo Bharat Corridor will improve daily commutes for thousands. It will also enhance Delhi’s status as a model for modern urban transport.

Atishi’s Celebration of Public Transport Projects
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi welcomed the launch of major public transport initiatives. She described them as a milestone for the city. In a post on X, Atishi congratulated Delhiites on the inauguration of the first phase of the Rapid Rail corridor. This corridor connects Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar, linking Delhi to the NCR. She also praised the new Krishna Park to Janakpuri West Metro line and the Rithala-Kundli Metro section, which is now under construction.
