Watch: PM Modi Celebrates Raksha Bandhan With School Children In Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the festival of Raksha Bandhan by celebrating with schoolchildren in New Delhi on Monday. The event saw young students tying rakhis on the Prime Minister’s wrist and engaging in warm interactions with him.

The Prime Minister also took to social media to extend his heartfelt wishes to the nation on this auspicious occasion. In a post on X, he expressed his hopes for happiness, prosperity, and good fortune for everyone during this special time.

“Best wishes to all countrymen on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, a festival symbolizing the immense love between brother and sister. May this holy festival bring new sweetness in the relationships of all of you and happiness, prosperity, and good fortune in life,” PM Modi wrote in Hindi.

Raksha Bandhan, which honors the bond between brothers and sisters, is traditionally celebrated on the last day of the holy Hindu month of Sawan. This festival is a cherished occasion in Indian culture, symbolizing the protective and loving relationship shared between siblings.
