Notable figures, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, S Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Manohar Lal Khattar, were seated alongside the Prime Minister.

Prominent leaders from the NDA coalition, such as Kiren Rijiju, Chirag Paswan, Giriraj Singh, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Hardeep Singh Puri, were also present at the cabinet meeting.

During the session, the Union Cabinet approved government assistance for the construction of three crore houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). According to PTI reports citing officials, the decision aims to address the housing requirements arising from an increase in eligible families.

Under PMAY, a total of 4.21 crore houses have been completed for eligible poor families over the past decade. These houses include basic amenities such as household toilets, LPG connections, electricity connections, and functional household tap connections, through convergence with other central and state government schemes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his third consecutive term as India’s Prime Minister following his swearing-in at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, June 9th.
