Proving the thinking that the people of Delhi are aggressive and have a temper somewhat true, a video has recently gone viral on social media. Where an elderly man was brutally beating a man inside Delhi metro at Kashmiri Gate metro station.
As per the video shared by Ghar Ke Kalesh handle, the man was trying to steal a purse. After he got caught, the elder middle-aged man started beating him badly. In the background, people continue to watch the incident.
In the middle of the beating session, the thief even said sorry and said ‘Uncle ji mar jaunga. Aaj ke baad nahi hoga.’
But both passengers and uncle did not pay any heed and the latter continue to beat him. One woman supporting the act from the crowd even said ‘Shakal aani chahiye na sab jagah, pata chale kaise chor hai yeh’
Later, this incident came under internet’s radar and in X, it has already got 540.5k views.
However it left netizens debating among themselves. One user supporting the act said, ‘Ab Maafi Maang raha us phele chori kr rha tha’
While another user echoed the same sentiment saying, ‘Bure Kaam Ka Bura Natija.’ But there were many users who condemned this act, with one user saying ‘Stealing is wrong, it does no good to anyone. This person stole the purse, which is a wrong thing, but the way he is being treated is also not humane…’
Another user also gave similar opinion saying, ‘I admit he that the thief stole but he is apologizing, after that what’s the point of beating him like this, you can hand him over to the police, no one has the right to beat him.’
