Ahead of a landmark swearing-in ceremony in Patna, senior leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have attributed their massive electoral victory to a powerful combination. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who arrived in the city for the event, stated that the people of Bihar voted for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes for the poor and the “good governance” of incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The Clean-Slate Win
The NDA won the 2025 Bihar elections with a huge landslide, taking 202 out of 243 seats. It’s their second time going past the 200-seat mark; in 2010, they had won 206 seats. The Mahagathbandhan managed just 35 seats. With such a strong mandate, the new government will have a solid three-fourths majority, setting up a stable rule.
