The Dossier Centre, an investigative organization, claims that unnamed sources who regularly see the children have confirmed their existence.
The children are said to be living in a highly secured residence northwest of Moscow, leading a secluded life away from the public eye and reportedly seldom seeing their parents. The boys receive private tutoring in music, swimming, and artistic gymnastics. The older son, Ivan, has allegedly participated in artistic gymnastics competitions and occasionally plays hockey with President Putin.
President Putin, 71, has publicly acknowledged only two daughters—Maria, 39, and Katerina, 38—from his marriage to his ex-wife Lyudmila Putin, whom he wed in 1983 and divorced in 2014.
The Dossier Centre alleges that Putin and Kabaeva began their relationship in 2008, six years before his official divorce. According to the report, Kabaeva, 41, gave birth to their first son, Ivan, at a maternity center in Lugano, Switzerland, and their second son, Vladimir Jr., in Moscow.
These claims have not been confirmed by the Kremlin. Putin has consistently kept his personal life private, rarely discussing family matters in public. The Kremlin has traditionally refrained from commenting on his personal relationships or family affairs.
Last year, reports surfaced alleging that Putin had secretly funneled millions of dollars to purchase luxury properties for Kabaeva and their purported children, including a mansion and a large penthouse. The Kremlin did not comment on these allegations at the time.
Alina Kabaeva is a decorated athlete who won gold in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2004 Athens Olympics. After retiring from sports, she served as a member of the Russian parliament and has been linked to pro-Kremlin media organizations.
The Dossier Centre’s report sheds light on the secretive nature of Putin’s personal life but has raised questions due to the lack of verifiable evidence.
