Vistara flight diverted to Kolkata over dense fog

Due to dense fog, a Vistara flight en route to Bhubaneswar was diverted to Kolkata on Thursday. At Kolkata Airport, the flight landed at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday.

Meanwhile, from Mumbai, Maharashtra Flight UK543 was scheduled to reach Odisha but later it was diverted to the West Bengal capital. 

Taking to Twitter, Vistara airlines tweeted, “Flight UK543 from Mumbai to Bhubaneshwar (BOM-BBI) has been diverted to Kolkata (CCU) due to low visibility at Bhubaneshwar airport and is expected to arrive in Kolkata at 09:30 hours. Please stay tuned for further updates.” 

However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that till 21 January Odisha’s Bhubaneswar temperature will remain between 19 and 30 degrees Celsius. 

Earlier, the national capital, Delhi, got relief from a severe cold, though minimum temperatures remained below normal in most places on Thursday. 

According to the India Meteorological Department, on Thursday night, Delhi may see light rain.
