Viral Video: Woman Flung into Air by Speeding Wagon R in Pune

In Pune’s Hinjawadi area, a speeding car veered off the road, hitting a woman and leaving her injured.

CCTV footage shows the woman being flung into the air.

Bystanders rushed to help, and the driver took her to the hospital, where she is now receiving treatment.

“In an accident with a white Wagon R, the victim Rekha was injured. She is stable now. The accused, who is a 24-year-old, has been taken into custody and the car seized,” Pimpri-Chinchwad DCP Shivaji Pawar said.

The senior police official confirmed that the driver of the speeding car was not under the influence of alcohol, suggesting that initial investigations indicate a loss of control over the vehicle as the likely cause.

This incident has occurred nearly a month after another tragic event in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area, where a 17-year-old boy, purportedly driving an unregistered Porsche Taycan while intoxicated, tragically collided with and killed two IT professionals.
