Mukesh Sahani, the president of the Vikassheel Insaan Party and former Bihar minister, tragically lost his father, Jitan Sahani, in a fatal incident at their residence in Darbhanga’s Supaul Bazaar area.
Reports claimed that Jitan Sahani’s body was discovered on Tuesday morning at his ancestral house. Darbhanga SSP Jagannath Reddy confirmed the incident, and police have initiated an investigation at the scene located in Afjala Panchayat of Supaul Bazar, Darbhanga.
According to reports, Jitan Sahani was fatally attacked at his residence with a sharp weapon. Upon learning of his father’s murder, Mukesh Sahani is departing from Mumbai for Patna.
Neeraj Kumar, JDU’s chief spokesperson, assured that the culprit will be brought to justice and emphasized that strict action will be taken.
VIP party leader Dev Jyoti stated that the party received information about the incident a recently. Mukesh Sahani will reach Patna in a short while, Dev Jyoti said. “We are still unable to find out why our leader’s father was killed. We are trying to get information. Our leader will reach Patna in a short while and after that he will reach Darbhanga,” Jyoti stated.
Following the murder, RJD leaders, including former chairman of Bihar minority welfare commission Riazul Ul Haq Raju, expressed strong condemnation and anger. Raju demanded the arrest of the murderers within 24 hours and warned of street protests escalating to legislative action if the culprits are not swiftly apprehended.
