In Lucknow, an incident is witnessed, involving the murder by a 24-year-old man called Arshad, who shot and killed his mother and four sisters at a hotel. Shocking and ghastly, according to him in a video statement that he filmed later, for his “sisters from being sold.”

Arshad in the video accused neighbors and land mafias in Budaun of snatching his house and planning to traffic his sisters. He claimed that he strangled his mother and three sisters and the fourth one died soon after due to injuries. Arshad further elaborated by stating that he strangled and slit the wrists of his sisters, with his father having allegedly helped him in committing the crime.

The victims were identified as his mother Asma and sisters Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), and Rahmeen (18).

“Our family has taken this step due to harassment by people in the neighborhood,” Arshad said. He claimed the family had been forced out of their home and had been living on the streets for over two weeks. Arshad named individuals he held responsible, accusing them of being part of a land mafia involved in illegal activities, including trafficking.

He pleaded through his message, “Arshad has stated that the family had wanted to get converted for the sake of peace and wished Yogi Adityanath the Uttar Pradesh chief minister to make justice for their killings. He claimed strict action be taken against his accused. Saying ‘I request with folded hands we did not get justice in life, at least give us justice in death,”

Arshad also said he wished a temple was built on their seized land and their belongings were donated to an orphanage. “Ensure they get justice. They struggled a lot today. We have saved their honour,” he said in the video, appealing to the Chief Minister.

The incident happened at Hotel Sharanjit in Lucknow, confirmed authorities, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveena Tyagi. Forensic teams have collected evidence, and Arshad was taken into custody from the spot. The police are probing the genuineness of the video and the allegations leveled by the accused.
