Amidst the leak of the Constable Recruitment Exam and RO-ARO exam in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath Led government will introduce the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations Ordinance 2024.
The ordinance prescribes harsh penalties like life imprisonment and fine of 1 crore for paper leak culprits.
A provision also called for minimum punishment of 2 years to life imprisonment with a penalty of one crore rupees for violators.
As per UP government press release, If the examination is impacted, the provision also allows government to recover financial burden from solver gang and blacklist companies and service providers, who indulge in irregularities in examination.
The Ordinance also prescribes attachment of property in these cases. These violations will be now considered cognizable, non-bailable and triable by the sessions court.
And strict provisions have also been made over the provision of bail.
Earlier on February 24, Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board cancelled the written examination, following the allegations of Paper Leak. As a result, it gravely affected many aspirants who were appearing for the exam.
