Television actor Sheezan Khan, the prime accused in the death of co-star and ex-girlfriend actress Tunisha Sharma, has filed an application in Maharashtra’s Vasai court seeking a direction to the police to return his passport, which was previously seized during the ongoing investigation.
Sheezan Khan’s application will be heard in Vasai court on Tuesday. According to sources, Sheezan stated in his application that he needs to fly abroad for shootings, for which he would require a passport.
Sheezan was arrested in December of last year and held in judicial custody until he was released on bail from Thane Central Jail on March 5.
Notably, the Vasai Court granted Sheezan bail with a Rs 1 lakh surety bond and ordered him to surrender his passport. Waliv Police had filed a 524-page chargesheet against Sheezan in the 21-year-old actress’ suicide case in Vasai court.
Furthermore, Sheezan’s family previously claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case by the late actor’s mother, and that Tunisha was like “family” to them.
For those unversed, Sheezan was rumored to be dating his ‘Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul’ co-star Tunisha, who was discovered hanging at a TV serial set a fortnight after the duo ended their months-long relationship.
